ESL Intern - Beijing, China
Sojourn.Life is searching for native English speakers enrolled in or recently graduated from college or university in good academic standing to work in Beijing primary, middle and high schools as paid English Teacher Interns for one to four months. Over the course of this program interns will be participating in a variety of activities based in teaching, exploration and Chinese hospitality. This will include gaining teaching experience and getting a chance to explore China as a welcomed guest.
Participants will live with a Chinese host family that has a child in the school in which the intern will be working. In addition, interns will be given the opportunity to participate in free cultural activities in and around Beijing at locations such as The Great Wall, Forbidden City, Wangfujing Street, Nanluoguxiang, Houhai and more.
This is an ideal opportunity for individuals wishing to complete a teaching practicum or for individuals studying Chinese language. This is also a great chance for someone interested in teaching ESL abroad to gain practical experience with a short-term commitment.
Potential participants can sign up for one- to four-month intern assignments from now through December 2016. New participants may enter the program on the 10th of each month. The 11th of each month is an orientation day for new arrivals and on the 12th participants are introduced to their school and host family. At least a one-month commitment is required.
Participants will be provided with free accommodations and three meals per day (breakfast and dinner with the host family, lunch at school).
3,000 RMB per month stipend.
Free travel to local tourist sights.
Round-trip airfare to and from Beijing.
