English Teacher - Beijing, China 

 

Sojourn.Life is currently seeking an instructor to teach English in Beijing's No. 18 High School. To qualify you must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, have two years of work experience and a 120 hour TESOL certificate or a significant amount of teaching experience. A proven work ethic and good moral character are also musts. According to Chinese visa policy, successful applicants will also be required to pass a health exam and background check before a work visa can be issued.

This position is publicly funded by the Beijing Department of Education. This is an outstanding opportunity to earn a very competitive salary for a relatively light work load all while experiencing a new culture in the heart of China.

 

Compensation

  • 12,000 to 16,000 RMB per month depending on experience and education.

  • Chinese national health insurance is provided.

  • One round-trip airline ticket reimbursement per year.

  • All visa-related expenses incurred in home country and in China are reimbursed by the school.

  • At least 60 days per year of paid leave (national and school holidays). 

  • Airport pickup service.

  • Optional outings will be arranged, both inside Beijing and beyond.

  • Free housing accommodations are provided in a shared apartment (shared with one other foreign teacher) within walking distance of the school. In addition, all utilities and Wi-Fi are paid for by the school. 

 

Start Date and Contract Length

 

This position will begin as soon as you can arrive in Beijing. Successful applicants must sign a contract for the duration of the school year.
